Answering questions from the translators

Responding to translator comments

  • At times, translators may reach out with specific contextual questions about the content that they are translating. We have the perfect function to easily ensure you and the translators can collaborate effectively in a structured discussion to make sure everyone is on the same page. With this feature you can send or receive comments from the translator(s) translating that particular task.
  • This is known as the "Chat" Function to translators and they are able to send you their queries for each translation request you make.
  • They will use this chat to communicate with you about any questions that they have about the source text, or translation preferences.
  • When this occurs, you will receive an email notification to let you know there is a comment waiting to be answered.
  • All communication will happen on the Tolq platform.
  • You can use this feature while the translation is still "In Progress" OR during the "Review" phase of the translation request.
  • These conversations are not private and will be available to all translators involved as well as Tolq staff.
